Curled up on the sofa, tightly wrapped in your fluffiest and most comfortable pjs with the wind howling outside and the rain battering the roof, of which is sounding similar to tin. There’s a delicious hot chocolate and red velvet cake to one side and a gripping book in your lap. Fall is easily my favourite season for a variety of reasons, from the weather, changes in nature, tea and hot chocolates to the music, reading and run up to Halloween! I instantly knew that I wanted to try out a glittery cut crease eye look for this theme and had already picked out my favourite berry toned lipstick to accompany it. I had a lot of fun creating this look and can’t wait to play with glitter a little more in the upcoming months. This is the first time I’ve attempted a cut crease eye look and feel that I definitely need more practice, let me know what you think in the comments below!

Last year I had a little ongoing monthly ‘moments of mirth’ series where I spoke of the little things that were perking me up throughout the fall and winter months, these posts are listed below, as are my current seasonal enjoyments.
Don’t Fall out with Autumn!
Mini Moments of Mirth
Moments of Mirth
Reading
It’s no secret that I’m a complete and utter bookworm, through and through. I’m currently re-reading my whole Harry Potter collection before getting to the latest instalment, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I’m loving the adventures these books are taking me on and it’s the perfect start to the Halloween preparations!
Rain
Simple yet so effective, I love the sound the rain makes on the roof of my home, it’s as though I have a tin roof and it’s amazing. On an evening I also like to sit out on my front porch watching the rain fall, I find it really relaxing and it helps me to clear my head a little. I can always be found on my porch if I haven’t been feeling too chirpy.
Cuddly PJs
One of the most amazing things about the summery weather phasing out and the opener to the later part of the year is definitely the requirement to wrap up a little more. There’s nothing better than getting into your favourite pjs or a onesie, shutting the door on the weather and world outside and simply spending some quality time with yourself. I live in my pjs in these times and there’s nothing better than staying in and relaxing, having nowhere you need to be or things needing to be done urgently. Ahh peace.
Food
I’m a self confessed comfort eater, always have and probably always will! I love food too much and I definitely have an increased appetite in the colder months, I like to curl up on the sofa and really enjoy my food, biscuits and a brew are a necessity in these times!
Halloween
I can’t leave the best part out, can I? Halloween is definitely one of my favourite events in the year, it’s actually really hard to choose between this and Christmas, it’s impossible. Since the start of September I have been constantly singing or humming along to the Nightmare Before Christmas songs, after all this is Halloween, this is Halloween pumpkins scream in the dead of night! I just love everything about it, I adored dressing up as a child and going trick or treating, getting sweets and simply pigging out! Now I’m an adult it’s of course changed, although the magic of Halloween will never die out for me, it’s the perfect excuse to get creative with make-up and fashion, dressing up as a whole range of different ghouls or monstrous beings and also requires a good knees up and party! Scary movies really don’t do it for me, I just don’t scare easily, although I still enjoy watching spooky films to try give myself the shivers! Halloween style music is amazing too, isn’t it? Michael Jackson’s Thriller is an utter work of artistic genius!
As always be sure to check out everything¬hin’ for everyone else’s fall themed posts. What are your favourite autumnal things? What are you the most excited for this season and what do you plan to dress as for Halloween?
With Love,

Thank you so much, I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy my blog! I have a bit of a soft spot for gold shadows, even though I prefer silver as a colour – I think golds look so good on brown eyed people! Definitely! I love a good walk pretty much any time, it’s just quite limited where I live as there aren’t many choices! I’m so excited to wear my jumpers and boots again! xx
