This is Halloween, pumpkins scream in the dead of night!

A few times recently I’ve mentioned an upcoming Halloween Q&A, well here we are! To help celebrate the unbelievable event that is Dia de los Muertos I’ll be opening up in response to the creepy queries you’ve sent eerily floating my way.

1. What is your biggest fear?
Okay so here comes the generic answer, anything happening to my Mom. She’s my whole world and I’d be utterly ruined without her. Aside from that, I have an aversion to knives. I feel one of my below answers is going to open up some of the reasoning as to why this is the case.

2. What is your favourite Halloween film?
It’s probably obvious by now, that I have a bit of an obsession with The Nightmare Before Christmas, are there even words for how brilliant it is? I also tend to love watching Harry Potter and Casper around Halloween, Casper is definitely my plan for tonight, being one of my ultimate ALL TIME film favourites ever. Horror’s tend to be unable to actually scare me, which is why there aren’t any mentioned here.

3. What are you going to be for Halloween?
Despite being my favourite part of the year, I’m not actually dressing up this Halloween. I’m currently slumped on my sofa with a cup of tea and typing this up, in my PJs, hair scraped back and bare faced. Oh the glam life of a blogger. Had I been venturing out I were planning to be the Bride of Chucky this year, as pictured below, although unfortunately I haven’t been really feeling like leaving the safety net of my home recently.

4. In your opinion, what is the most overrated Halloween costume?
I think this probably changes each year based on popularity. There’s of course always the standard slutty black cat prowling around, but I think it’s obvious that this year there’s a huge influx of Harley Quinn. As much as I think both are great, they’re definitely being way over done!

5. What are your favourite plain clothes Halloween costumes?
I have a thing for the Bride of Chucky this year, it’s such a simple outfit to throw together last minute and the make-up is just as uncomplicated, perfect for a beginner. Saying this, I also love the notion of Bellatrix Lestrange, another easy option for anybody who has an abundance of black stored in their closets!

6. What is the craziest/scariest thing that has ever happened to you?
I mentioned my enmity for knives above, this is part of the reason why. It’s also something I rarely talk about as it involves my family and is something of which has deeply disturbed me throughout the years. In a nutshell, I’ve always absolutely adored my older brother, he’s always meant the absolute world to me, I idolised him as a child, like he were some form of god. I were seven years old and playing in the living room with my Barbie’s, when my brother returned home from the pub one night. He seemed completely normal, until he suddenly flipped out on me and held a knife to my thigh. I were terrified. I’d never seen my brother so enraged, he weren’t making much sense either, saying something about how I’d lied to him about some bags of crisps.. It were just utterly insane. He proceeded to smash the house up that night, of course my Mom got us out of there pronto. I remember it as if it were yesterday, it’s something I’ll never forget. There have been other situations in my life involving knives which of course have added up to my overall distaste.. This situation being the worst for me, due to it being my brother and the devotion I felt towards him.

7. What would be the scariest thing that could happen to you right now?
Well, since it’s Halloween and I’m sitting at home in my PJs, nothing is really happening aside from the odd trick or treater making a visit. It would be pretty terrifying if I were to open the door and instead of finding a cute little kid dressed as a witch, to instead find a crazed axe murderer or something. It is Halloween after all, I could be the subject of a future Horror film ha ha!
