Originally I pondered looking back at my past favourites posts with the intention of using whatever were included to create a make-up look, upon reflection however I found that my tastes haven’t altered much over the past year and so the plan were revised. This then got me thinking about my cosmetic loves of old, back in high school and throughout college. Having some of these products still to hand I gathered them up and with that bring you today’s forgotten favourites look!
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation – NW13
P.S Love Under Eye Concealer – Ivory
George Silk Finish Pressed Powder – No. 01 Translucent
Colourworks Bronzing Pearls
Bourjois Little Blush Pot – 85 Sienne
Make-Up Revolution London Ultimate Eyeshadow Collection: Gold and purple shades
P.S, Love Liquid Liner – Black
P.S, Love Carbon Black Mascara
Colourworks Lip Gloss
My make-up skills have definitely improved considerably since the good old days. In high school I didn’t often wear make-up but when I did I would use the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse thinking it were the holy grail product of the world at the time, since then I have discovered that to not be the case, even slightly, and in college I turned to Clinique then MAC. Aside from that I could never apply mascara without poking myself in the eye with the wand, would always use only one shade of eyeshadow at one time (what’s blending?) and of course, being a little emo kid meant that I would go overboard on black eyeliner. Contour and highlight weren’t a thing and I’d have been utterly clueless with bronzing. Blush were either non-existent or applied as though I’d been repeatedly slapped in the face. I certainly don’t miss the beauty days of old. Also, why is it that today’s teens are better at applying make-up than adults with 20 years on them? They’re totally skipping that awkward stage and instead look photoshoot ready 24/7. This is not fair in the slightest! They need to feel our pain dammit!
Please do check out the other’s take on this weeks theme, you can find the link up over on Beth’s blog. Leave me a comment below, I’d love to know what your own forgotten favourites consist of. Also for fun weekly fashion and/or beauty posts be sure to click that follow button, you won’t regret it!

You look beautiful 🙂
And I never wore makeup back then either unless we were going out to a party. I had no clue about blending either so only used one shadow lol. I always rocked “smokey eyes” lol.

Aww thank you so much chick! Hahaha I don’t miss those awkward make-up days at all! I tended to go for blue eyeshadow a lot of the time, I looked ridiculous!

It’s crazy how fast the time has passed! I’ll be 25 soon, it doesn’t seem like two seconds ago that I were still in High School. It’s so insane!

Right?! I’m stuck in my 18th year lmao. I don’t feel my age (I’m 24 now) lol. And I think being a mom makes me feel much older than I am lol.

This is great!!! It’s so much better than what I ever was able to do in high school. I could only do eyeliner, and roll on glitter.. I didn’t even know how to put on foundation… whoops! lol I love this looke though…
